Questions related to after abortion care?

  • Abortion recovery is offered through small support groups, individual peer support with trained advocates, and a male mentor for men. Call (802) 388-7272 or text (802) 883-3636 for a free of charge, confidential appointment.

  • There is no age or gender limit for post-abortion support. Whether an abortion happened a few days ago or many decades in the past, you are not alone. Support is available for women and men, and for anyone who has been affected by an abortion decision.

Because abortion can touch the lives of many people, support is also available for parents, grandparents, partners, siblings, or close friends who carry grief from a direct or indirect experience with abortion loss. If it still weighs on your heart, you are welcome here.

  • Cost is never a barrier to post-abortion support at The Women’s Center. Post-abortion care is always provided free of charge.

Through the generosity of community organizations, churches, businesses, and individuals who care about those with a past abortion, expenses are covered by donor support. The Women’s Center receives no profit or financial incentive for offering post-abortion support.

  • The Women’s Center is a faith-based organization, but no one is required or pressured to share a particular faith to receive abortion recovery support. Several curriculum options are available, from non-religious to faith-based. Every person is seen as having immeasurable value, and the goal of each group or session is that you feel respected, safe, and loved.

  • Gestational age and abortion method do not limit who can seek healing. Anyone who has had any type of abortion is welcome to participate.

Many who have used the abortion pill describe a unique, often intense experience, so groups and one-on-one support are sensitive to the needs of those after a chemical abortion.
